In 2018 we saw many aspiring women woodworkers come to our land to learn the basics of carpentry.
It has been an absolute pleasure to see how these women went from never having used tools much to use such as an impact driver, chop saw and circular saw with confidence.
The courses continue in 2019. We have added an extra day so we can get a bit more done on the second fix side of things; floors, trims, cladding. Come and join us!
Below are some photos of the fantastic women that did!
Raising a wall, up it goes! Everybody can work with wood, in fact carpentry requires skills that women are noted for being good at: design, management, geometry, quality over quantity and sense of detail. And muscles?, yes the one in your head. Real Carpenters eat wood.
